Survival Zombie arrives at Plaza Mayor: Get ready for the most Intense night of the year!
Have you heard about Survival Zombie? Next Saturday, September 27, from 11:00 p.m., Plaza Mayor will be transformed into an apocalyptic stage to host Survival Zombie, the largest live-action role-playing game in Europe. This unique experience, organized by World Real Games (WRG), will close out Málaga’s Comic Week with an experiential leisure proposal that will leave no one indifferent.
What is Survival Zombie?
Survival Zombie is a live-action role-playing game that immerses participants in a real-time survival story. For more than six hours, attendees will dive into an exclusive narrative inspired by the literary saga Los Caminantes by Carlos Sisí, a Málaga-based author and Director of Image and Communication of the franchise. The storyline also incorporates local references, offering full immersion into the zombie universe.
In Sisí’s own words:
“I really enjoyed creating a story that pays tribute to Málaga through the genre I know best. This experience doesn’t just entertain, it puts you inside a movie where you are the main character.”
How does the Survival Zombie event unfold in Málaga?
Participants will be divided into two groups: survivors and zombies. Throughout the event, they will face physical and mental challenges, solve puzzles, and work together as a team to advance through the story. More than 40 professional actors, along with special effects, realistic makeup, and spectacular scenery, will turn Plaza Mayor into a true battlefield between humans and the undead.

Where does it take place?
The event will unfold across the leisure area of Plaza Mayor, a shopping and entertainment center in Málaga, managed by Sonae Sierra. The venue will be transformed into an apocalyptic stage, offering attendees a truly immersive experience.
Plaza Mayor is an open-air center designed with architecture inspired by a traditional Andalusian village. It offers more than 44,000 m² of retail space, 119 shops, and a massive parking area with more than 3,000 spaces. Besides being a reference point for locals, its location just 2 km from Málaga Airport also makes it an ideal destination for tourists.
